Some of the students from Qing's homeroom Class 3
decided to go on a Sunday afternoon hike together.
They invited "Mr. O and Mrs. O" to go along.
We had a wonderful time with our students!

| We passed through a street market. |
 |
| Chongqing is a city of motorcycles, as it has far too much traffic and far too many steep hills for bicycles. This guy created his own motorcycle fairing, to block the wind. |

| We came across two horses (and construction workers) taking loads of rock up the steep steps of the mountain. I felt so very sorry tor these horses! |

| When we got to the top, we had a pot-luck picnic lunch. Qing is careful to teach students not to litter. |
Along the way, we came across some people dancing in the park. This park or shopping mall (outside) dancing is very common here in China......We have observed it in every city!!
Often, the organizers have speakers set up for playing all sorts of music, and in some places they promote this activity 7 nights-a-week. It is wonderful exercise and promotes feelings of a healthy, social community or neighborhood! Everyone is welcome!
