On May 22, 2011, DEREK and HEIDI were married at Dancing Deer Mountain, near Eugene, Oregon. Of course, we had to make the trip home, from China, for this big event!
Heidi was a beautiful bride, and her sister, Ali, the maid-of-honor.

Next will come Jared and Torun's wedding, on September 5. ......Glad that we'll already be back home from China.

We spent one day hiking and driving on forest roads near Mt. St. Helens, with good friends, Bub and Barb.

It was difficult to leave my granddaughter, and head back to China.......
We flew from Portland to Vancouver, B.C., directly over the crater of Mount Saint Helens. It was glorious!
In Shanghai, China, we rode the famous Maglev (magnetic-levetation)Train, the fastest train in the world.
