Visit to Chengdu (part 4, the Sichuan Opera)

We attended "Chinese Operas" in both Beijing and Chongqing, and were disappointed both times.  We finally got it right, with the Sichuan Opera
in Chengdu.

Masks of the Sichuan Opera:

The mask-changing slight-of-hand  is the most famous aspect of this traditional entertainment.

Click here to watch the mask-changing.

Click here to watch the "scarf dance."

And, here to hear the violin-type music.

And, here to watch a bit of the hand-shadow show.
