Why China?
Why spend a year teaching conversational English at a high school in Chongqing, China?
(1) Keeping a promise to a wonderful Chinese exchange teacher who spent a year teaching at our school in Washington state.
(2) Our sense of adventure...Chris and Paula wish to travel and experience as much of the world as we can!
(3) Perhaps we can help "make this world a better place" for our grandchildren and future generations by showing interest in and
compassion for other people and other cultures.It was emotional, being up on
The Great Wall, and the feeling reminded us of summitting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa or hiking the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu in Peru.
Sleeping on the Wall on the night of August 23, 2010, under a nearly full moon, was one of life's most memorable experiences.
